Fertilisers tor Trees. —(1) Could yon advise what fertiliser to nse for Lawsoniana trees? (•2) When should tulip bulbs he lifted, and is it true that it ,vou pick the flower the bulbs die (I) Blood and bone at 'loz. per square yard will be the best fertiliser for the Lawsoniana. (2) The tulip bulbs should be lifted as soon as the foliage begins to turn yellow. There is no harm in picking the flowers so lonsr as the foliage is left to ripen the bulbs. Plant again in A| ril or May.
