THREE CASUALTIES
REMUERA FAMILY'S RECORD
FARMERS IN CIVIL LIFE
Advice during the past, few days that her three sons in the Now Zealand Expeditionary Force have been reported casualties lias been received by .Mrs. .J. C. Sawers, of Kelvin Road, Rcmuera. .The eldest, sou. Corporal -I. C. Sawers, aged ,*ll. was reported wounded a week ago. but a later message states that he has now been discharged from hospital. He attended King's College. r l he third son, Driver F. C. Sawers. aged 27. was reported missing in a telegram received on Tuesday night, and the youngest son, Driver D. C. Sawers, aged 21, was reported missinc yesterday.
The third son was prominent in athletics at Mount Albert Grammar School, and the youngest son was educated at the Feilding Agricultural College. All three were farmers and left the Dominion with the first despatch of troops overseas. Mrs. Sawers' second son, T. Sawers. is training for a commission in the Australian Imperial Force. He attended Mount. Albert Grammar School and went to Sydney about three years ago to train as a veterinary surgeon.
