I'rod need liy George Alihott. whose previous sneecsses include "Brother Rat'' and "Room Service," the film has nine bright musical numhers and .lour spectacular dance sequences. Among the cast, arc Richard Carlson. Lucille Hall, Ann Miller. Kddie Bracken and Frances: Langford. Because of the romantic escapades of his sell-willed and beautiful daughter, a millionaire engages four prominent American college football players lo enrol at a small college lo protect her from further romantic ent a nglements. The con! ract . which is unknown to the girl, stipulates that none of them shall fall in love with her. Romance does come however, and the complications which ensue, especially when the four footballers play for the unknown college, provide hilarious entertainment. Republic's "Marl of Puddlestone," the latest picture in (lie Iliggins family series, is the associate attraction. Indignant over the fact that a society girl has replaced Betty lliggins in a bomelaletii musical production. Grandpa lliggins decides to raise the status of the family and engages a man to masquerade as a solicitor to convince the I litrgins that Joe is the long-lost heir of tiie Karl of Puddlestone. How the deception is kept up through a series of misadventures makes riotous comedy, .lames, Entile, Russell Gleason, Eric Blore, Harry Davenport and Lois Ranson are the principal players.
