OTAHUHU INGLESIDE
Stirring martini airs and traditional Highland music pervaded the Otahuhu Public Hall on Saturday night when the pipe band of the Scottish Regimental Association (Auckland) were guests at the Otahuhu Caledonian Society's ingleside. The large assembly included visitors from kindred city and country societies. Prior to the reception of the guests by the chief, Mr. A. Stephen, the band played through the main street. It also played selections during the evening and provided music for several of the Scottish dances. The programme was directed by Mr. L Ewan and included solo national dances by Miss Elva Handling.
