RUGBY UNION OFFICIALS The Cambridge Golf Club's amateur course record of 69 was recently .equalled by one of the club's youngest senior members, ,W. Woollev. Coming from a well-known South I-land Riigbv family, Roddick has had a lengthv and successful career, having represented' Wanganui, the King Country and Manawhenua, being captain of the latter team for four years. In addition to his five years with Grafton, he also played for the Poneke Club in Wellington. Apart from his ability as a forward, Roddick is a splendid placekick, arid as recently as last Saturday he landed two penalty goals which gave Grafton a win over North Shore, When the police team won the Auckland inter-services competition in m.'iis, Roddick, who is in the detective force, scored 1 .">() of the 215 points registered by his team.
