IMPORTING CONDITIONS WEIGHT LIMIT REMOVED Importers of truck and omnibus chassis were notified by the Customs Department last week that licence)would he made available for the importation of chassis of 30c wt. and over up to the value of 193R imports. Before then, licences were issued on a basis unspecified in the schedule for the fifth period. According to further advices, the limitation on the minimum weight of chassis of 30ewt. has now been removed. the only restriction in this respect being that chassis for light delivery vans cannot be imported.
