DIVORCE ACTION
ALLEGATIONS WITHDRAWN Alleging both desertion and adultery against his wife, Ruby Maud Hammond, Leslie David Hammond, railway workshops employee, sought divorce in the Supreme Court yesterday. The case was contested and was heard by Mr. Justice Callan and a jury of 12. Alfred Briggs, taxi-driver, was named as the co-respondent. Mr. M. Robinson appeared for the petitioner, and Mr. Golds! ine and Mr. 1 lamer for tho respondent and the co-respondent, who denied both the main allegations of the petitioner. After an adjournment, it was reported that lliti husband had agreed to abandon his allegations of adultery and the wife had agreed to admit the allegation of desertion. The wife's maintenance had been arranged between the parties. The husband, therefore. became entitled to a decree nisi, which His Honor granted.
