' ANNUAL DOMINION MEETING Re-emphasising their faith in the war ' of Christ to overcome evil and estab- ' lish goodwill among the peoples of tne earth, a greater number of letters than ever before were received from Friends yearly meetings all over the world, including France and Japan, according to a statement made at the annual ; general meeting of the New Zealand ' Society of Friends (Quakers) opened on Friday night. It was stated that no word arrived from the yearly meetings in Sweden and Germany, although they are known to have been held. The clerk of the Auckland meeting, Mr. Russell Gregory, extended a welcome to those present and expressed pleasure at the large and re present ative gathering. The meeting heard re* ' ports and discussions of the wider Quaker Fellowship on Saturday.
