NEW SOUTH WALES CHOICE MR. LANG NOT INCLUDED SYDNEY, May 17 The new Labour Ministry of New South Wales was announced last niglit as follows: — Premier and Treasurer.—Mr. W. J. McKell. Deputy-Premier, Chief Secretary and Minister of Mines.—Mr. J. M. Raddeley. Minister of National Emergency Services.—Mr. R. ,J. lleffron. Attorney-General.—Mr. C. E. Martin. Minister of Agriculture and Forests.— Mr. W. Dunn. Minister of Education. —Mr. C. Evatt, KC. Minister of Labour, Industry and Social Services.—Mr. H. Knight. Minister of Justice and Vice-President of the Executive Council.—Mr. R. Downing, M.L.C. Minister of Public Works.—Mr. J. Cab ill. Minister of Health. —Mr. C. Kelly. Minister of Local Government and Housing.—Mr. James McGirr. Minister of Lands.—Mr. .1. Tullv. Minister of Transport.—Mr. M. O'Sullivan. Assistant Ministers. —Mr. C. Lazzarini and Mr. W. Dickson, M.L.C. Speaker.—Mr. D. Clync. The new Ministry has been sworn in by the Governor, Lord Wakeliurst. After the distribution of preferences tho former Minister of Health, Mr. U. P. FitzSinions, has been returned with a majority of .IRI. The former Premier, Mr. A. Mair, has won the Albury seat. Tho final state of parties is likely to be: Labour . . 55 United Australia Party and United Country Party . . 2G Independents 0 A surprise was caused by tho loss by tho United Australia Party of another seat, when the distribution of preferences in Gloucester resulted in tho Independent candidate being returned. Three seats are still undecided, and one of those is likely to bo "won by an Independent.
