FIGURES FOR 84 SEATS SYDNEY, May 15 The further counting <>l election votes shows improved positions in the poll lor ilr. A. Mair. former New South Wales .Premier, and Mr. 11, P. FitzSimons, former .Minister of Health Mr. Mair is now over (500 votes ahead of his Labour opponent and is expected to maintain this lead. Mr. FitzSimons will probably receive a sufficient number of the outstanding votes to retain Jus seat.
Fighty-four of the 90 seats in which the results are now clear are distributed as follows: —• Labour 5.'! United Australia Party and United Country Party . . . 21 Independents 7 Four of the Independents are United Australia Party supporters.
