OBITUARY
MRS. FLORENCE POLSON WOMEN'S DIVISION FOUNDER (0.C.) WAN'fiAXUI, Thursday The (loath has occurred in Wanganui of iNlrs. Florence Ada Mary Lamb Poison, wife of Mr. W. Poison, M.P. lor Stratford. Mrs. Poison was born in Melbourne in 1879, and was educated at the Presbyterian Women's College and at, an academy in Paris. Mrs. Poison spent a number of years on the Continent, during which time she acquired an intimate knowledge of the French and German languages. She travelled extensively, and lived in South
Africa for two years before returning to Australia. She was married in Melbourne in 1910, and came to Manurewa, Fordell, in 1028. When her husband won the Stratford seat, she divided her time between homes in Fordell and Stratford. Mrs. Poison founded the women's division of the Farmers' Union movement and did a great amount of work for it. She is survived by her husband, two sons nnd a daughter.
