BLACKOUT AT WAIHI
(0.C.) _ WAIHI, Thursday A blackout is to be enforced in Waihi as a result of a largely attended meeting of the Emergency Precautions Scheme Organisation. The Mayor, Mr. \ ' "H', fbuutt:. a representative of tno Thames- Valley Klectrie-Powcr Hoard, and the tovn, clerk spoke on the necessity for Waihi to follow other towns situated near the coast and black out all bright lighting.
