THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE WIDE MARGINS QUOTED There was a further restriction of business on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, again duo largely to the wide margins which persist in quotations. Holders of leading equity shares showed little inclination to make concessions, while in the case of insurance and some front-rank industrials they remained off the market altogether. The conversion loan announcement produced no reaction in giltedged. a reflection, no doubt, of the fairness of the terms. Offers for the I;)!(.)-J.'i loan, which had been selling at a premium of 10s after allowing for accrued interest, were reduced in accordance frith the conversion offer and support was renewed at £IOO, against sales at £lOl 2s (3d on the previous day. Apparently the market had believed that this loan was likely to run to its final maturity date.
