PRESENTATION TO MAYOR
A wallet was presented to the retiring Mayor of Auckland, Sir Ernest Davis, by members of the city traffic department staff yesterday. Traffic officers were entertained by Sir Ernest at a sherry party, during which tko presentation was made. Members of the City Council and the council staff had been entertained earlier by Sir Ernest. He referred to his happy associations with the staff, and to the assistance it had given him. The town clerk, Mr. ,T. Milling, replied on behalf of the staff.
