SHEPHERD FOUND GUILTY (0.C.) HAMILTON, Wednesday The retrial of William John Waddell, aged 34, shepherd, of Tokarimu, on a charge of stealing £.50, the property of James O'Neill, was concluded before Mr. Justice Johnston in the Supreme Court at Hamilton to-day. Mr. H. T. Gillies prosecuted and Mr. A. G. Ward appeared for the accused. The jury returned a verdict of guilty, and Waddell was remanded for sentence. His Honor informed the jury that accused had a substantial list of previous convictions, and in his opinion the verdict was justitied.
