FATAL AIR CRASH
OFFICIAL INQUIRY OPENED A Court of Inquiry into the fatal crash of a Royal New Zealand Air Force training aeroplane at Reweti, near Helensviile, on Friday, was opened on Saturday by Air Force personnel. An inquest into the death of Leading-Air-craftman Edwin Chaytor Moore, single, aged 2'J, was also opened on Saturday by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, and adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken.
Full service honours will be accorded the pilot at the funeral this afternoon. The cortege will leave the home of Ms mother, Mrs. M. E. Moore. 119 Mount Eden Road, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Russell Allerton, chaplain at Whenuapai, will conduct the service at the graveside.
