Prior to this Mr. Potter had presented to the Grand Lodge about six acres of land at Panmure, as a site for cottage homes for aged Freemasons and their wives, were to live there rent free. At his own cost he erected two cottages, leaving it to the governing authorities of the craft to provide more. Tn 1929 he presented to the Takapuna Borough Council an acre of land opposite St. George's Presbyterian Church for a public park. Mr. Potter is survived by his wife.
