CHANGED WAVELENGTHS
AMERICAN RADIO STATIONS WASHINGTON, March 28 More than 800 radio stations made final engineering tests to-day before shifting their places on the dial in conformance with a North American radio broadcasting agreement to eliminate interference. The agreement was signed bv the United States, Canada, Mexico and Cuba, and becomes effective to-mor-row. Engineers <>f the Federal Communications Commission expected that the changes would eliminate or minimise much radio interference. Powerful Mexican border stations that interfered with reception in the United States will be forced oil' the air. Generally uniform shafts will affect Sot> of the 893 standard broadcast stations. Stations now received above the 730 kilocycle marking on the dial will be heard at slightly different points, , usually higher.
