AMPLE REFRESHMENTS
Under arrangements made hv the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council, roadside refreshments are being provided for soldiers participating in tlie military manoeuvres between Auckland and Whangarei. Tlio refreshments are being dispensed by women's committees formed in tho various country centres and are greatly appreciated by the men, in spite of the fact that they are well treated by their own commissariat. Supplies of cigarettes, tobacco and other requisites provided by the council are also being distributed, while the men are being further catered for at mobile canteens conducted bv several organisations, including the Territorial Association and the Y.M.C.A.
