CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
Sir, —In Friday's Herald your correspondent Alexander Hodge suggests that "conscientious objectors should at least donate to the lied Cross." This may seem quite right, but to my knowledge vast numbers of these people have been silently donating, ever si (ice the Great War, in order to provide for orphans and others who have suffered as a result of that war. Many may have only been able to send small sums, from time to time, but others quite substantial sums. J. W. Pkrrett.
