Regent Theatre. —Filmed in teclinicolour, the powerful film "Dr. Cyclops" will continue a season at tho .Regent Theatre to-day. St. James' Theatre.—The gripping drama of the British contraband service, ''Contraband" will tie presented at St. James' Theatre again to-day. Leading roles are taken by Conrad Yeidt and Valerie llobson, and Hay I'etrio is cast in a supporting role. Plaza Theatre. —The picturesque life of itinerant showmen iu America is vividly depicted in Hal Roach's merry production "Road Show," which will have further screenings at tho Plaza Theatre to-day. Three players who scored in the successful comedy ''Turnabout." Adolplie Menjou, Carole Landis and John Hubbard, are at the head ot a line cast. The supporting programme includes newsreel pictures of i he American naval squadron's visit to Sydney. Majestic Theatre. —The Dead End Kids and Wallace Ford have the leading roles in "(lives Ls Wings, the main attraction on the current programme at the .Majestic I lieatre. I Ik* associate film is the comedy "Money to Burn," in which tho Higgins family head the cast. Civic Theatre.-—Tho splendid tenor voice of Allan Jones is heard to advantage in several of Jerome Kern s melodies, which are a feature of "One Night in tho Tropics," the current attraction at the Civic Theatre. A specially-selected programme of supporting films includes "Congomania," which introduces to New Zealand a new dance routine proving extremely popular overseas. Century Theatre. Filmed on a colossal scale, the thrilling drama ol the south-west, "Arizona. ' will continue a season at the Century Theatre to-day. A splendid portrayal is giyen by Jean Arthur and also by William liolden, who plays opposite he;". The supporting cast includes the New Zealand actor, Colin Tapley, and Warren William. A strong associate programme will also be presented. Strand Theatre—One of the gayest and most entertaining domestic comedies seen for some time, "Third I'inger, Left Hand," will continue a season at the Strand Theatre to-day. Myrna Loy and Melvyn Douglas form an outstanding dramatic combination in parts which are ideal for them. Oxford and Avon Theatres.-—A portrayal comparable with those which won him the Academy Award is given by Paul Muni in "Hudson's Bay," a turbulent drama of the pioneering days of Canada, which will be shown again to-day at the Oxford and Avon Theatres. Vogue Theatre. —Robert, Donat and Jean Parker are the principals in the comedy "The Ghost Goes West," which beads to-day's progran/me at the Vogue Theatre.
Embassy Theatre. A refreshing comedy with an appealing story, the Warner Brothers' production "My Love Came Rack," will continue a season at the' Embassy Theatre to-day. The leading roles are taken by Olivia de H^a villain! and Jeffrey Lynn, and Eddie Albert is prominently cast in a supporting role.' State Theatre. —Spencer Tracy and I-ledv Lamarr are teamed for the first time in "I Take This Woman," now showing at the State Theatre.
