MAN FATALLY BURNED

DRUM OF PETROL EXPLODES [li\ ThLECRAI'H OWN CORRESPONDENT] GREYMOUTH, Sunday When a drum of petrol which he was handling exploded, a Kokatahi farmer received extensive burns from which ho Inter died in hospital. The victim was:— Mr. James Owen Agnew, aged 30, single, a farmer, of Kokatahi. Mr. Agnew was unloading a drum of petrol from a vehicle when it exploded, spraying him with the blazing liquid. Although badly burned, he managed to crawl ,■ considerable distance to a telephone and ring for help. He was admitted to the Hokitika Hospital, where he died this morning.
