Feb. 1 Tlio Federal Government has decided to send a delegation to New Zealand to confer with the Dominion Government on mutual war problems. The delegation, which will leave Sydney by flying-boat about the middle of next month, will bo led by Mr. H. L. Anthony (Country Party), who was appointed an Assistant Minister after the election last October. The personnel of the delegation has not yet been announced, but it is likely! to comprise the Minister and two cie- J partmental officers, including a high officer of the Commerce Department. The Commonwealth Government believes the visit will bo of outstanding value, not only in co-ordinating important aspects of the Empire's war programme as a whole, but also because it will provide an opportunity to exchange information on production methods which have been successfully developed in both countries. The shipping position and other export problems will also bo discussed. Jt is emphasised that the visit is not in any way connected with trade questions.
