OBSERVER'S RECOVERY

WOUNDED IN AIR BATTLE [fhom our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Advice has been received by Mr. E. Junes-Jones, of Hamilton, that his son, Sergeant-Obscrvcr Melville I nnes-Jones, who was seriously injured in an air battle on May 12 has sufficiently recovered to undertake light operational flights, but has yet to undergo an operation for the removal of a piece of shrapnel. Sergeant-Observer Innes-Joncs left Hamilton seven years ago to join the Royal Air Force as an apprentice, but since the war started he has been attached to a bomber squadron, with which lie was flying when ho was injured. He has been acting lately as an instructor.
