Royal Yacht Squadron.—A cruising rare for keelers was held to Oiietangi, four boats starting. Elapsed times anil placing* were:— Revel (10m). '_' h 3m 80s, 1; Kotuku (14m), 2h liii lOs, 2; Waimea U2m), 2h sm, 3. Mnnuhati Yacht Club,—Tho Mantikau Yacht (.'lull held ils annual harbour championships on Saturday. There was a steady sailing breeze from the south-west throughout the day. In the open and ISft championship, Marie Dawn was first away, and on tli.j completion of the first round Aquila was four seconds behind the leader, with Mere, the only other competitor, five minutes astern. Aquila attempted to rut one of tho banks and lost her rudder, leaving Mario Dawn to win easily. Aquila resumed the race, to beat More home, the elapsed times being: Mario Dawn, 111 57m 575: Aquila, 2h iim 51s; Mere, 2h 7m lis. .Marie Pawn broke tho course record by 2m 10s. lift championship: Karoro assumed tho lead on tho slog out, hut at the end of the first round led Josotte by '-'tis. In tho second round tho latter improved Iter position, lo win comfortably. Tho elapsed times were: Karoro, 1h 38m Os; Josetto. lh -12 m 225; Ale?te, lit 43m 555. Marene and Aloma retired. Z class: Florit soon took the lead from Zippa and Skeeta, but Zippa carried away a stay and retired, Flirt held a load of six seconds from Skeeta. at the end of tho first round, but the latter took tho lead in the second round. On the run homo, however, Skeeta had spinnaker trouble and capsized, leaving Flirt to come home ahead of Tamaki, which capsized just after crossing the finishing line. The elapsed times were: Flirt, 111 Kim 20s; Tamaki, lh 17m 15s; Astra, lb 21m s*lf: Valefa, lh 21m 41s. Kuuka broke her saff and retired. Tops.v was the only boat to finish in the sweens'ake. her t:ii"» being 50m 14s.
