FERTILISER NEEDS
SUPPLIES ASSURED [by telegraph —press association] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday An assurance that farmers had no cause to be concerned with the possibility of a shortage of fertiliser supplies was given by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, in an interview to-day. He said steps were being taken to ensure an .adequate supply in spite of the damage at Nauru Island. Mr. Nash said quantities of phosphates were still in store in New Zealand, and arrangements were being made to bring maximum quantities to the Dominion. They might hare to be rationed, but every farmer this month would be able to get the same supplies as he obtained in January of last year.
