THE CITY MARKETS MORE APPLES AVAILABLE Apples came forward at the City Markers yesterday in fair quantities, coloured Gravensiein and Astraehan selling well. A Iriv .lion Chretien pears were available, and these brought very 11i_i11 rates. The demand for tomatoes was keen, and choice outdoor varieties realised high values, but poor lines were not sought. Good quality peaches sold well, although values eased on. Monday's sale-. Apricots were on the market from Otago, but they were in poor condition and values were lower. Potatoes were very plentiful, selling at low rates, and new season's kumaras in >inal! quantities brought high rates. Ohaktme cabbage made its appearance ami was well sought.
