WAR PRISONERS ON FARMS
Sir, —.May I. as one much interested in dairy farming, comment on the question of war prisoners. If it should become necessary to receive prisoners of war here. I trust that they will not be dispersed over Urn Dominion in units. As Mr. Mackie points out, the chief present need is tor help on dairy farms; where one, or at most two, could be employed, making proper supervision almost impossible. Such prisoners "ould more properly be employed preparing virgin, or .unimproved, country for our own boys when they return. In labour camps supervision would he comparatively easv. en isolated dairy farms practically impo*I congratulate Mr. Crookes on his stand, and regret that others who expressed doubts about the scheme did not support him.
