DESERTED FROM SHIP
A charge of deserting his ship at Auckland on December 23'* was denied by a steward, Maurice George Francis Page, aged 19. before Air. F. M. Levien, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. It was stated that accused was missing from his ship when it sailed, and he had not reported to the shipping company since that day. Accused was admitted to probation for 12 months.
