Other horses to make the trip were Sir Beau, Belle Cane, iNinia, Globe Trotter, Taleiita and Fleehe d'Ur. Horses from Awapuni scheduled to pro to Trentham to-morrow are Tlie Buzzer. Some time ago Mr. Louis Mayer, of Culver, California, arranged with Mr. AY. J. Smith, of the St. Aubins Stud, Scone, New South Wales, for Beau Pere to do a season at the stud in America, and he will stand at Culver. He will later return to Australia. Beau Pere, who is by Son-in-Law from China, was bred in England in and was bought at the December sales at Newmarket, England, by the British Bloodstock Agency, on behalf of Mr. John Donald, of the AVest mere Stud. Wanganui. for lodgns. He turned out a great sire, and at the dispersal sale of Mr. Donald's stud in 1937 was sold to Mr. Smith for 3300gns Among his successful progeny arc Beau A T ite, Beaulivre.
