TASMAN AIR SERVICE

FLYING-BOAT FROM SYDNEY PASSENGERS AND MAIL With 12 passengers and a. quantity of mail and freight, the flying-boat Awarua, of Tasman Empire Airways, Limited, arrived from Sydney early yesterday afternoon. Captain Oscar Garden was in command. There were patches of unfavourable weather along the flying-boat's route, but they were avoided and the trip was uneventful. Passengers were: —Mr. and Mrs. N, C, Irvine, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Tite and infant, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Dakers. Miss Q. Taunton, Messrs. J. W. Thompson, A. G. Williams, A. C. Millar and D. Robertson. The machine brought about 961b, of mail and approximately 1541b. of freight. The Aotearoa, commanded by Captain ,T. W. Burgess, will leave for Sydney this morning and is scheduled to return to-morrow afternoon. Passengers booked to travel to-day are:—Mesdames T. U. King, H. G. Noble. M. E. Bowler and L. E. Harbort. Misses R. M. Davev, K. Tibbies, and X. Philipps, Messrs. M. Shaw, W. Marsdon, H. H. Biggins, P. J. Landrigan, A. Noble and B. Bush.
