EXILED BY WAR
NOTED BRITISH AUTHORS LONDON. Dec. 28 , "I found the British author P. G. ;Wodeliouse in an Upper Silesian prison camp writing a novel in a padded' cell ill a. former mental hospital, among 11,000 other internees," states the Ber- 1 Jin correspondent of the Associated Press of America. "Hp said that he was thinking of naming the book 'Money for .Tam.' " Mr. E. Phillips Oppenbeim, equally well-known writer of thrillers, is living 1 in e?.ile with his wife at Cannes, in unoccupied France. He and his wife tried to reach England in August, but had to return when 20 miles from St. Malo. In a, letter to a friend in London, Mr. Oppenheim, who is aged 74, says: "As you know, L have always been a little extravagant. It will therefore amuse you to know that I am now living on a ; small allowance from the Foreign Office, supplemented by produce from .Jour own garden. are absolutely isolated, and hear .no news from .anybody." /i. . /
