In addition l'/ 2 tons of concentrates were saved valued at i.">o.
SLUICING IN AUSTRALIA A sluicing plan put into operation at the mine of Sunshine Cold Development, Limited, Sydney, was producing entirely satisfactory results, said the chairman, Mr. F. \V. Torrmgton, at the annual meeting. The company was faced with a serious labour problem because of the difficulty in obtaining, experienced Europeans. Most of the skilled operatives had been drawn from New Zealand, bat this source was now closed.
