TJOLLYWOOI) is beginning to wonder what has happened to Garho s career. It has been almost a year since she made her last picture, "Xinotchlca," which was lairly success!ill. So far, there have been no plans announced for her next vehicle. Of course, most ol Greta s market went west wlieii Kurope crumbled. All profits on her lilnis were made in continental Kurope. Americans never have liked her a great deal, although she won not a little favour here with "Ninofchka." The studio may believe that a Garho film which always has to be lavishly mounted, may prove too expensive ami too big a gamble to dopond on Hie I* n i ted States and British markets alone. However, if she were placed in the right story and made to appear a little more human she would win a wide following in English-speak-ing countries.
