COMMISSIONS IN ARMY
Because the Army has a surplus for its immediate requirements of recent!} commissioned subalterns, only a small proportion of those men in the non-com missioned-' officers' school at I'apakura can be selected for the Officer Cadet Training Unit for the Sixth ii enforcements. In the past this school lias furnished a high percentage of those sent to Trentham to qualify for commissions, but the Inst Officer Cadet Training Unit supplied" so many subalterns that the usual number of vacancies do not exist for the next draft due to enter camp.
