Wild Horses Again

])EAR ANNE SHIRLEY,—! road a very interesting letter in your page about wild horses, written by Douglas Edmonds. I ran toll Douglas what, wild horses eat. They live on tussock, nianawa scrub, dandelions and flax. Not only do they eat dandelion tops, but their roots also. Manawa is a very tough, wiry, reddish-brown scrub which grows on the Kaingaroa Plains, where I live. As I write this letter I can see through the window a mob of wild horses making friends with our horse. With them are two little chestnut foals. 1 have seven miles to ride to school, and as there are no houses between our home and the school, the road is quiet and lonely, so I have many chances of seeing wild horses, wild pigs and deer. —Yours sincerely, Bob Collins (10) , Waireka, Rotorua,
