ARMY APPOINTMENT
DR. ALLAN MACDONALD GENERAL HOSPITAL POST A well-known Auckland surgeon. Dr. Allan Macdon.ild. has accepted an appointment as orthopaedic surgeon in the No. '•'< Cencral Hospital, F.xpcditionarv Force, and has left Auckland to take the post. He has been promoted to the ranlc of major.
An Aueklander by birth. Major Macdonald graduated at the Otago (.'Diversity and later did post-graduate work in Kngland, where he gained the degree of F.I'.C.S. His interest in the Army extends over many years and he has been an officer in the New Zealand Army Medical Corps since 1921.
