MISSIONARIES' FATE
MURDERED BY BANDITS SHANGHAI, Nov. 15 ft is reliably stated that 50 bandits murdered Mr. and Mrs. Max Bernheim, two American missionaries, and one of their six children, at Changyi, near a village on the Yunnan-Kweichow border. The bandits invaded and ransacked a mission compound where the missionaries were stationed. One child, who was wounded, is expected to recover. The remaining children, who were sleeping in a room adjoining the tragic scene of their parents' murder, were unharmed. Chinese troops are now pursuing the bandita,
