BEGINNING THE DAY

(Contributed by the Council of Christian Congregations.} Text.—ln the shadow of Thy wings will I take refuge, until these calamities be overpast. —Psalm 57: i. Prayer.—l thank Thee, my Father, for the hours wherein I have known the safety in which Thou dost keep those who trust in Thee. I thank Thee for darkness that has turned to light for me, and for storms out of which I have come into a richer peace. Help me not to fear again whatever storm gathers around me, and though the darkness linger and the storm be long, help me to trust myself to Thy strong hand and sleepless care. For Jesus sake. Amen.
