RACEHORSES BOLT
APPRENTICES INJURED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday When their mounts were frightened hy the sudden starting of a car, two race apprentices, Marshall Docherty and S. M. Dye, of Matamata, were thrown heavily to the ground near their stable gates. The horses wore To Hai and an unnamed Tea Tray horse trained by Mr. H. Martin, of Matamata. They broke away with High Flyer, who, however, turned for home. The other two bolted and were later found near Wnharoa, fortunately without serious injury, Docherty, who suffered shock and abrasions to the back, is in the hospital at Matamata, but Dye, who received internal injuries, severe si wick and bruises, was admitted to the Waikato Hospital.
