NEW SEASON'S CONTRACT PAST PRICES RENEWED SOME MINOR ADJUSTMENTS [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Friday The Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, announced to-day that nego-' tiations had now been completed with the United Kingdom Government with regard to the prices of meat for the 1940-41 season.

The f.o.b. prices payable bv the Marketing Department will be the same as for last season, with the exception of minor adjustments in respect of edible offals and bacon cuts. Full details of these adjustments Till be published as soon as possible. _

Last season an agreement was made •with the British Government "for'the sale of 300,000 tons of frozen meats from the Dominion's production from October 1, 1939, to September 30,1940, and from the carry-over from the pr<v vious season at f.o.b. prices in- sterl-

The f.o.b. prices in New Zealand currency as paid" by the Marketing Department are ar> rived at by converting sterling f.o.b. prices agreed upon into New Zealand currency and deducting f per cent to cover overhead expenses and - interest of the Marketing Department,' andthe expenses of the Meat Board. The prices announced for the 193&40 season, in New Zealand currency, f.o.b. New Zealand ports, per lb., were:-—. '
