AOTEAROA FROM SYDNEY 14 PASSENGERS CARRIED Tasman Empire Airways' flying-boat Aotearoa, commanded by Captain W. J. Craig, arrived from Sydney yesterday afternoon with 14 passengers, freight and mails. Seven of the passengers will proceed to the United States by the American Clipper. The passengers included Professor Georg Schneevoight and Messrs. D. H. Gardner, J. H. Hewlett, C. F. Horley, W. C. Meyer, C. Milner, N. Moran, A. K. Murray, J. Namemvirth, G. Vernon Smith, and G. T. Young. Of the 7261b. of mail, 4181b. was for New Zealand and 3081b.. for 4.transhipment to the American Clipper. The freight totalled 3101b», of which 2041b. was for New Zealand and 1061b. for America.,
The Awarua, commanded by Captain J. W. Burgess, will leave for Sydney on Monday and will return on Tuesday. CLIPPER DUE TO-MORROW ARRIVAL AT CANTON ISLAND The Pan American Airways American Clipper en route from San Francisco to Auckland arrived at Canton Island from Honolulu yesterday at 5.18 p.m., New Zealand time. The Clipper, which is carrying five passengers, will leave for Noumea this morning and is due here to-morrow. She will begin her return flight at eight o'clock on Tuesday morning.
