A Keen Gardener

T)EAR ANNE SHIRLEY.—Don't you think it fun to watch the calves after they have had their morning milk, and are let out in a large <paddock. Every morning I sit watching them after 1113?' work is done. They go slowly up the hill then suddenly turn around and race down again. Next, one * starts off around the paddock and the others go after it. We have about 50 calves now.

I have two gardens. One has vegetables and the other is a flower garden. I have just' started to prepare my flower bed. Last week-end 1 planted some carrots,' peas, beans and lettuce. I have a few plants up. We have had some radishes. I- love gardening, don't you ? Now that my seeds are up I will have to take good care of them. My sister has a vegetable garden and 1 told her l-would see- if -1 could grow better vegetables than hers. —Yours sincerely, Una Mcintosh. (15), Tangiteroria.
