WEDDING AT TE AROHA
PEA R S E—IIEP BURN BRIDE IN WHITE GEORGETTE TWO COUSINS IN ATTENDANCE The wedding took place recently at St. David's Presbyterian Church, To Aroha, of Miss Bertha Joan Hepburn, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hepburn, of Te Aroha, and Mr. Herbert Pearse, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Pearse, Te Aroha. The Rev. J. Haslop officiated and Mrs. Jamieson played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautiful gotfn of wliite georgette cut on princess lines and inset with Chantilly lace. The long-sleeved bodice, fashioned with a Y neckline, was softly gathered to the boufl'ant skirt, which fell gracefully into an oval train. The long tulle veil, which formed a second train, was.worn with a top-knot of orange blossom. The bride carried a sheaf of lily-of-the-valley and tuberoses. Attending the bride were her cousins,
Miss Nira Conlev and Miss Gay Williams, of Auckland. They were dressed alike in picture frocks of apple green georgette relieved with dusky • pink. They wore headdresses of green tulle with crowns of pink paillettes, and carried sheaves of roses and carnations to tone. The bridegroom wao attended by Mr. Arthur Pearse, as best man, and by Mr. Douglas Fenwick, as groomsman. A reception was later held at the Hot Springs Hotel. To receive her guests, Mrs. Hepburn wore a French frock of Catnlina blue with alternating panels of delustred and cire suede crepe. She wore a fur cape and a black hat, and carried a posy of roses and orchids. Mrs. Pearse, the bridegroom's . mother, wore a graceful navy blue ensemble with a wide-brimmed navy hat, and carried a posy of toning flowers. The bride travelled in a grev sheer frock with touches of violet embroidery under a grey tailored coat, and a picture hat of grey felt.
