TWO GIRLS KILLED

Nov. 7 Two girls were killed and three other people wore injured when the car in which thoy were travelling overturned in French's Forest. There were harrowing scenes after the accident when the young man who had been driving the car and his mother became hysterical with grief, and were restrained with difficulty. The casualtics were: Killed: Daphne Best, 19, of Hornsbv; Asto Kilp, ]l, Waitara. Injured: A lido Kilp, -10, of Waitara, severe shock; Alan Kilp, 22, her son, abrasions, shock; Alan White, I.'?, of Hornsbv, fracturered left leg and abra-
sioits to the face. Miss Rest apparently was killed outright. The Kilp family with their friends
left Hornsbv about 9.30 a.m. to spend the day at Manly. They were in high spirits as they approached tho long run through French's Forest. Alan Kilp was driving when the car ran into some loose gravel, and he lost control. The car overturned, and some of the occupants were trapped beneath it.
People passing in a car came to their assistance and summoned the ambulance and the police. Mrs. Kilp and her son, Alan, who had suffered a severe shock, became hysterical. Alan's Condi tinn grew worse, and ho became almost demented. On several occasions he ran away into tho bush. At the hospital he ran around the grounds and then out of the gates. He was brought back by police, and ho and his mother were admitted.,
