THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE MOUNT LYELLS IMPROVE Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange opened to a steadier tone yesterday, when dealing covered a wider range of investments. More interest was shown in' industrials, gilt-edged issues being virtually unprocurable at current olFers. Movements in industrial transactions were slightly irregular, but generally values tended to steady on the slightly easier basis now ruling. Devonport Ferry continued to show strength, while Farmers' Fertilizers were taken 9d above the price made a month ago. " Mining issues were more active, the principal movement being a rise of 2s 6d in Mount Lyells since the middle ot September.
