BRITISH CHILDREN
ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND About 30 British children arrived in Auckland from Wellington by the limited express yesterday morning. Part of tlie first official party under tbe Government scheme which arrived in Wellington from England on September 27, the children were met on the railway station by the Mayor. Sir Ernest Davis. Lady Davis and Mrs. W. B. Wilson, a member of the local British children committee. Six of the children who will live in North Auckland are the guests of the Mayor at the Waverlev Hotel, and the remainder were accommodated at the Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage, Meadowbank.
