YABIOUS LOCAL CLUBS MATCH PLAY AT MIDDLEMORE AKARANA CHAMPIONSHIPS With the weather perfect and courses in excellent order, competitions were held by local golf clubs during the weekend. Two further rounds in the matchplay event were held at Middlemore, and, as a result, E. L. Bartleet will now meet H. Plumley in the final of the senior division. There were some surprises in the club championship at Akaraaa, in which the first and second rounds and semi-fmals were played. The finalists are F. J. Cullen and L. Johnston. INTER-CLUB MATCH An inter-club match played during the week-end between the Maungakiekie and Titirangi Clubs resulted in a win for tho latter by 10 games io 15, two being squared. The A teams met at the Maungakiekie course, Maungakiekie being successful by ten games to eight, while at Titirangi, in the B section, the home, team was successful by eleven games to five, two being halved.
