MINISTER RETURNS
REV. LIONEL B. FLETCHER After an absence of three years, the well-known evangelist and former minister of the Beresford Street Congregational Church, the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, arrived in Auckland yesterday from England with Mrs. Fletcher, and will probably spend several months in the Dominion. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher made the voyage to Wellington in the ship which brought out the second official party of 113 English children. Since he was last here, Mr. Fletcher has been engaged in youth work in England and Ireland under the National Free Church Council, also undertaking annual winter campaigns in South Africa. When the black-out put an end to evangelistic work in England he took temporary charge for eight months of a large Coneregational church at St. Leonards-on Sea, near Hastings.
