NEW LORD MAYOR
CITY OF LONDON SIR GEORGE WILKINSON (Received September 29, 6.60 Piin.) LONDON, Sept. 2S Sir George Henry Wilkinson has been elected Lord Mayor of London. Sir George Wilkinson, who was knighted in 1932, has been an Alderman of the City of London sinco 1933, and a member of the London County Council
since 1937. He was born in 1885 and he has taken an active interest in_ tne affairs of many London hospitals, notably St. Bartholomew's, St. Thomas' and King's College Hospital.
